By: Bad Breath Cures.com “As a nutritionist, I believe that the white furry tongue and bad breath are caused by yeast, or candida, infestation. It is not contagious since these microbes are everywhere already and they only take over when the body is out of balance nutritionally. This happens when the diet favors the yeast microbes in the gastointestinal system over the beneficial bacteria there, most commonly known as being found in yogurts. This happens when the diet is lacking in fiber, quality fatty acids, and B vitamins, or when the diet is too heavy on meats, refined carbs, sugars and sodas, and too light on fresh vegetables and fruits and alkalizing water.
