By: Anna Rzewnciki The annual forum, presented by the Biosciences Management Initiative at the North Carolina State University Poole College of Management, provides an opportunity for open discussion of management issues unique to the biotechnology and biosciences industries. The event begins at 7 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m. There is no cost to attend but pre-registration is required. Registration link: http://biosci.poole.ncsu.edu/ “This is an informative program full of networking possibilities,” Poole College’s Jenkins MBA program. The annual forum features presentations by four speakers from various aspects of the biosciences industry. “Each will be bringing a unique perspective and insight based on their personal experiences and knowledge in the business,” Kouri said. The audience, including biosciences and allied industry practitioners, alumni of the MBA program and current students, is encouraged to participate in the question-answer session following each presentation and to continue the conversation during the networking sessions. Following are the featured speakers for the Oct. 28 BioSciences Forum. - Harry Reynolds, director of Health Industry Transformation for IBM Global Healthcare & Life Sciences Industry. - Mark Augusti, president of Spine and Biologicals at Smith and Nephew - Chris McDonald, site director, Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics in Holly Springs NC. - Crockett Dale, president and chief operations officer, Healthstat.
