Lymington hotel becomes location for Garmin film shoot

Dec. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Stanwell House Hotel in Lymington hosted a crew from another Hampshire- based business this week, film production company Mediakinetic, for the making of a film to promote Garmin’s new GPS tracking device, the GTU10.

The device, which is being showcased by Totton-based Garmin at the London Boat Show at Excel from 6-15 January 2012, enables boat owners to track their vessels when both on and offshore by logging in remotely via their pc, tablet or mobile.

It's a small, lightweight and waterproof tracking device, which also has a number of other uses for marine or home.

Stanwell House Hotel is one of the New Forest’s best kept secrets.  A privately owned-and run boutique hotel, the Georgian built property has just 30 rooms, including a number of suites and four-poster options.

The hotel is an oasis of calm, located on bustling Lymington High Street, one of the UK’s prettiest market towns, which is lined with Georgian buildings and has been home to a huge market every Saturday for over 800 years.    

At the heart of this cosmopolitan hotel is a glass-covered courtyard, which is perfect for a relaxing morning coffee, an informal lunch, or dinner for those who wish to have the family pet with them whilst they dine (Stanwell has several dog-friendly rooms which greet doggie guests with a throw and a Bonio!).

Proud of its cuisine, the hotel has a choice of restaurants and head chef Chris Lovell uses local New Forest and coastal produce wherever possible.
