Pantego Christian Academy Presents 2nd Annual Christian Apologetics Conference

Feb. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Pantego Christian Academy hosts its second Apologetics Conference on Friday, February 17th at the school’s Arlington campus located at 2201 West Park Row Drive in Arlington.

Apologetics is the areas of theologies that provides a rational and logical basis for the Christian faith, as well as defend against objections.  The Holy Bible calls for Christians to be apologists in a number of scriptures, perhaps most concisely in 1 Peter 3:15, “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,” (NIV)

“At PCA, we not only teach students what the Bible says, we also prepare them soundly to defend it," says Headmaster Jay Pritcher.  "Our students’ study of apologetics allows them to question and challenge their faith in an environment and with people they trust at PCA," continued Pritcher.  "Through that process, they gain the deeper understanding and knowledge necessary to be able to understand, fully adopt, and defend their faith in a hostile culture, much as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the Book of Daniel.”

This year’s conference, titled "Faith, Culture and the Family” will take on topics including genetic testing in pregnancy, human trafficking, abortion, same sex attractions and feature a dating and family panel discussion.   This year’s presenters are:
