Unique Houston Art Gallery showcasing art of Breast Cancer Survivors scheduled to open 2013

Sept. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Onore is the Italian verb meaning "to honor". The Onore Gallery honors those who have been touched by Breast Cancer

The Onore Gallery, located in Houston Texas will honor those individuals touched by breast cancer by showcasing their art, telling their story; providing hope and support through beauty and community.  

The American Cancer Statistic of "1 in 8 women will be touched by breast cancer" is well know. But it is more than just 1 in 8.  It does not count family, friends, coworkers and complete strangers who are also touched by the strength and courage of breast cancer survivors.

As much funding has gone to researching a cure; providing hope. It is commonplace to now talk about breast cancer survivors.  But battling the disease is still a horrifying and traumatic process. Open to the Public, the Onore Gallery give women & men a place to showcase there Passion for Life. Onore Gallery will highlight all art forms and media;  sculpture to jewelry to photography to film to paintings.

Artists will be accepted to the Onore through a digital application process and reviewed by peer review &  Onore staff.

The founders of the Onore Gallery, active in breast cancer survivor advocacy,  believe that "out of the horrors of breast cancer, beauty can be created providing hope and a pathway to healing."  Seen everyday in the strength & courage of over 2.6 million Breast Cancer Survivors fighting for themselves then for the chance to help others.

The Onore is currently seeking funding to finalize the Gallery in time for its scheduled  2013 opening.
