The Springs at Mill Creek, a senior retirement community with Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care coming in two months, is hosting an educational and informative session targeted to seniors and their families regarding the many aspects associated with senior housing.  The session will cover assessment care levels; making the transition from Independent to Assisted Living; what does Memory Care mean; and other related topics about the industry.  

“For families who haven’t explored senior housing, this session will help negotiate the options available to them and their loved ones,” explained Jay Leo, Director of Operation for The Springs Living.  “Senior housing has changed and evolved a lot over the years.  It’s not your grandmother’s nursing home or old folks home of the past.”

The info session will be held on Thursday, May 30th at 6:30 to 7:30 pm at The Springs at Mill Creek in The Dalles.  Brenda Weisz, RN, the Regional Director of Nursing Services will present the session with a Q&A period following the presentation.  The event is free and open to families and seniors who want to know more about the senior housing industry and the choices that are available.
