ASUS releases 6-inch FonePad Note

June 21, 2013 - PRLog -- The trend for hybrid phone-tablet is getting even bigger with the addition of the newly-announced ASUS 6-inch FonePad Note phablet. ASUS FonePad Note features a stylus and a full HD 1920x1080p display running an Android 4.2. It is powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 1.6GHz processor, which is originally designed for smartphones and now being used for tablets.

The FonePad Note offers the perfect balance for work, games and social activities. The device is capable of making and receiving phone calls via 3G connection. It is packed with 3G radios for data and voice, which enable users to use its phone functionality. Users are recommended to use a Bluetooth headset for such huge device. ASUS FonePad Note has 2GB RAM, a microSD slot, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front camera. It is limited to DC-HSPA+ in terms of connectivity, which means it will lack LTE network. But the device will be supported by 42Mbps network speed.

One of the major features of the ASUS FonePad Note is the stylus pen that makes note-taking and freehand sketches possible. It also has front-speakers following the design of the HTC One smartphone. The 6-inch device becomes a host of tons of new features and applications that would be perfect with its stylus pen.

With its phone functionality, the ASUS FonePad Note is just as good as any smartphone for texting. Since the device is running an Android 4.2, it is an advantage to utilize the newest SMS function of tablets and run certain Android SMS apps for a convenient tablet SMS experience. Tablet Talk is a comprehensive app that enables users to text from tablet using the same number on their Android phone. The app should be installed on both phone and tablet. By linking the tablet to the Android phone via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection, users can start sending and receiving text messages through their tablet. Users can also make and receive phone calls using a Bluetooth headset. Tablet Talk app also has a photo-sharing option that will take advantage of the high-quality display of ASUS FonePad Note.
