New literacy non profit in New York partners with Books for Africa to ship 22,000 books to Nigeria.

FCT, Nigeria - July 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Reading is one of the most essential skills for success in life and the corner stone of education. Unfortunately, poverty has put so many children in Nigeria (esp in the rural areas) at a significant disadvantage from having access to quality & age appropriate books they could read.

Over 6 million children in rural Nigeria have no access to reading materials other than text books. They are learning to read from textbooks, but they lack other books to read while some children have no books at all.

Reading Hamlets is a non profit registered in New York thats dedicated to ending the cycle of poverty in Nigeria through literacy.  We have partnered with another non profit to ship 22,000 books to kids who need them the most.

The books would be used to stock three primary school libraries, distributed to kids & hospitals.
