McKenzie School’s Unique Fundraiser – Toilet Paper and Paper Towels

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Aug. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- McKenzie is raising money by selling something that absolutely everyone needs and can never have too much of – toilet paper and paper towels. 

"We’re selling name brand Heavenly Soft products at prices you can’t beat at the grocery store.  It’s a win-win situation, said Judy Smith, teacher at McKenzie School and coordinator of their ‘Paper Drive’.  “Who doesn’t need toilet paper and paper towels?  Starting at about $.29 per roll for toilet paper and $1 per roll of paper towels, we’re truly offering a great value on top of being able to raise money for a good cause.”       

“Our students will be reaching out to friends, families, and local businesses asking them to stock up on these necessities,”  Ms. Smith continued.  “We hope people will spread the word, and we invite anyone to come to the school, check out the samples, and place an order.  You don’t have to have a student in school here to participate in this great deal.” Also, all money raised by this drive will go toward replacing the 16 year old lawn mower the school is currently using. “ We have to have a commercial grade mower and those cost from $5000.00 to $7000.00”, added Mike Gunter, Principal of McKenzie.  “Our small school doesn’t have many ways to raise money for things to keep the school looking like we want it to and the way our community expects things to look at the school.  This is a way for us to get help and our supporters are getting something for the money they spend.”

Florida-based PaperFunds is helping McKenzie School organize the fundraiser.  The Paper Drive will run through September 23 and the products will be delivered on October 17.  Questions, comments, and orders can be handled through Judy Smith at, judyn.smith@butlerco.k12.al.us or the McKenzie School Office at 374-2711.  Samples and order forms are also available in the school office at 221 N.
