OTTER LLC today announced procurement of trademark from the USPTO

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash. - Nov. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- OTTER LLC of Bainbridge Island, Washington announced today that it has successfully secured trademark status for its software “Where You @?”  This is the first location auto reply app of its kind that allow its users to let friends, family or colleagues know where they are without being distracted from their activity which often includes driving.  “Not only is the @? symbol integral to the functionality of this software but we believe it will also quickly become associated with highway safety and the efficient use of smartphones everywhere,” explains OTTER LLC Founder and CEO, Erik Wood.”

The US Patent and Trademark Office issued the certificate of trademark to OTTER LLC.  All other patent documents filed by OTTER LLC have also been accepted by the same government office and are currently under review.

HOW Where You @? WORKS:

Any of your contacts that text your phone the characters: “@?” will get a text reply with a map link to your current position.  This app downloads and runs on Android phones; however ANY smartphone can obtain the location of any Where You @? activated phone provided they are in the target phone’s contact list.  This app is free and requires no distracting input from the user to reply to friends, family or employers with their location.
