ATLANTA - Jan. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Atlanta’s entertainment and business leaders have joined forces to officially organize the Influencer Coalition (http://www.influencercoalition.com/), a political organization led by former Fulton County Prosecutor and Political/Wealth Activist, Christine White, Esq. (http://www.christinewhiteesq.com/) The coalition is composed of entertainment industry professionals primarily doing business in Atlanta.

Empowered by the tagline, ‘Our Money, Our Power, Our Politics', the Influencer Coalition (icATL) was created as a membership-based organization targeting Gen-X, Gen-Y and Millennials who do not feel represented by the modern political system. “We seek to leverage our collective influence as entrepreneurs, artists and cultural curators to produce positive political and economic change for our communities,” says President Christine White.

The Influencer Coalition’s mission is to inform, empower and activate African-American and underserved communities to affect positive change. The coalition will focus on programming that will create dialogue and incite meaningful action around voter mobilization, education and justice reform. “Young people recognize the inequalities that plague this country, yet they are not sure how to exercise their power to change policy. It is important that they develop their own way of engaging in the political process,” states advisory board member Andrea Young, Executive Director of the Andrew Young J. Foundation.

The Influencer Coalition will kick-off 2015 with a town hall meeting titled: “Our Money, Our Power, Our Politics” on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. The town hall meeting is open to the public and will tackle the issues of black leadership, the effectiveness of protesting and collective power and its effectiveness.

The Influencer Coaltion Town Hall is part of  the Andrew Young Leadership Series, a partnership of the Andrew J. Young Foundation and the Leadership Studies Program at Morehouse College, providing accredited courses and informative public forums with panelists of distinction on selected topics.
