She is fluent in French and Japanese and received her Bachelor's degree at UC Berkeley in communications and pop-culture. After college she studied makeup at the Make-Up Designory school. Working as a freelance makeup artist she partook in runway shoots, wedding ceremonies and magazine spreads.
