Ontario Back Roads Country Talent Search Winner Announced

TORONTO - March 10, 2016 - PRLog -- The Ontario Back Roads Country Talent Search, created by Catherine Faint Entertainment, launched on January 1, 2016. Artists from across the province were asked to share their story and original song when entering the contest. This unique country talent search provided industry connections and opportunities for musicians while sharing insight on how communities and nature inspire an artists musical journey.

There was a packed house at Hugh's Room on Thursday, March 3, 2016 to watch the top 5 finalists perform. The evening was co-hosted by KT Timmermans from100. 7, The Island, Manitoulin's Country and Eryk Trickett from Country 89.1 in Welland.

Industry judges selected Instant Rivalry from Prince Edward County as the 2016 Ontario Back Roads Country Talent Search winners. The brother and sister duo have a genuine heart warming quality. The room was silent during their performance of Farmhouse which is dedicated to their inspiring grandmother.

Instant Rivalry has played many community events such as fairs, Canada Day festivals and the Olympic Torch Marathon. They have opened up for bands such as Tanya Tucker, Corb Lund and many more. Instant Rivalry believes that growing up in the County with the breathtaking views of the Bay of Quinte is a huge inspiration to not only their music but their way of life.

The 2016 Ontario Back Roads Country Talent Search obtained over ¼ million online votes from around the world.
