Follow on Google News | Think IT Association to Host Charity Golf Invitational Summer 2016Event will benefit local organization Genesys Works chapter in Chicago.
The invitational will begin with registration and lunch from 11:00am to 12:15pm, followed by a shotgun start at 12:30pm. In addition to a four-person scramble, awards will be given to the first place team and winners of on-course games like Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive, along with a hole-in-one contest with a chance to win a new car. The evening will end with a program featuring raffle prizes, live auction, and a speech from a Genesys Works alumnus. Think IT's Minnesota chapter has held two charity golf events for Genesys Works-Twin Cities, with a third scheduled for this June. The last two Think IT golf events raised a combined total of just over $95,000 for Genesys Works -Twin Cities. "We are so excited to bring this event to Chicago," said Tom Parker, VP of Consulting Services at York Solutions. "Our goal is to not only raise funds for Genesys Works, but to increase awareness of this amazing organization and the good that they are doing within our community." Genesys Works is a non-profit organization that changes the trajectory of Chicago's low-income high school students by empowering them to envision a professional future and pursue the education needed to achieve this goal. Genesys Works Chicago was launched in 2010 and is rapidly expanding to serve the needs of underserved youth in Chicago. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
