12th Chitwan Festival to Be Organized For Economic Development and Tourism Promotion

CHITWAN, Nepal - Dec. 25, 2018 - PRLog -- Chitwan is all geared up to organize a grand Chitwan Festival for 10 days. This year this festival is scheduled from 09 January until 18 January (10 days). This festival will be organized in the banks of the Narayani River.

In past years, this festival had helped in economic, social, and cultural development. Like previous years, this year this will be a grand festival with 500 stalls. These stalls will be featuring various traditional foods of Chitwan, pictures of national and international fauna, sporting stalls, information desk, fun parks to name a few.

With the objective of promoting Nepal Tourism Year 2020, different programs will be organized for tourists in Chitwan. Chitwan already is a major tourist hub for jungle activities. This festival will definitely supplement the tourist to include Chitwan in their Nepal tour packages.

Furthermore, this festival will be an opportunity to provide the tourist with information on various tourist attractions within Chitwan, along with the guidebook printed in both English and Nepali languages.

Attractions At the Festival
The main attractions of this festival will are various spitting images of National and international fauna, an attractive zoo, 20 feet long Dolphins, rafting in the Narayani river, various sporting activities, and cultural presentation of the local Tharu Tribes. The entrance fee for tourist will be USD 5 per person. Similarly, for children, the entrance fee to the festival will be USD 2 per child.

Inauguration of the Festival
This festival will be inaugurated by Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda, a Nepalese politician and one of the two chairmen of the Nepal Communist Party.

The outcome of the Festival
Following the success of this festival in previous years, indeed this year the festival is speculated to uplift Chitwan as a major tourist destination in Nepal. We might see the rise of tourist in Chitwan.

Generally, all Nepal tour package includes Chitwan. As this destination is easily accessible and there is no better place than Chitwan to see the wildlife in their natural habitat. With good tourism infrastructure, Chitwan already is a prime attraction among the wildlife enthusiasts.
