Green Colored Vehicle Registration Plate and chauffeur Dress Made Mandatory For Tourist Vehicle

KATHMANDU, Nepal - Jan. 29, 2019 - PRLog -- In Nepal, all road vehicles with or without a motor (except bicycles) are tagged with a registration number. License plates are commonly known as number plates. The license plate number is issued by the state-level Transport Management Office, a government agency under the Department of Transport Management. The license plates must be placed in the front as well as the back of the vehicle.

Likewise, for the vehicle carrying tourist for their Nepal tour is green colored. However, due to the weak governance, also the red colored registered plate were carrying tourist. The case is so worst that even the cab (black colored registration plate- for a public vehicle) would stick a sticker " Tourist" and make it a means for transporting tourist.

However, now the government has banned the red-colored and black colored registration plate to carry tourist.  All vehicles carrying tourist should have a green colored registration plate. Every travel agency, tour operators, hotels will require a green plate vehicle for transporting tourist.

This consistency shows improvement in government consciousness towards tourism in Nepal.

Furthermore, the driver of the tourist vehicle will be given a proper dress code by the government.
