Lumbini Development Trust (LDT), Nepal Creates Greater Lumbini Buddhist Circuit (GLBC) Nepal Tour

KATHMANDU, Nepal - Jan. 15, 2019 - PRLog -- Lumbini Development Trust (LDT) has already begun to design the GLBC architectural plan and explore the Buddhist heritage sites spread across the country.

Under the plan, which looks ambitious in the context of the implementation capacity of the LDT, Buddhist heritage sites from Tashichholing Monastery of Gunsha in Taplejung in the east to Kankre Vihara of Surket will be connected with Lumbini combining spiritual, spiritual, pilgrimage, cultural and leisure activities. Promoting Lumbini and other Buddhist sites, and attract more tourists to Nepal tours are the main objectives of the GLBC project.

Plans Design is also included to connect Lumbini with Manasarobar in Tibet Xizang of China. Until now, only Lumbini in Rupandehi, Tilaurkot in Kapilvastu and Swaymbhunath and Boudhanath of Kathmandu Katmandu are known as Buddhist sites of Nepal among the pilgrims arriving in Nepal to visit Lumbini. If the proposed circuit gets completed in time, it will help boost tourism besides promoting Nepal as a home base of several Buddhist heritages including the birthplace of the Buddha.
