Reports on Russian trade in goods with South American countries in Q1 2019

MOSCOW, Russian Federation - May 19, 2019 - PRLog -- Russian Foreign Trade has released the reports on Russia's foreign trade in goods with the countries of South America in the first quarter of 2019.

The reports have been prepared by Russian Foreign Trade stuff based on the data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

In particular, the reports have been issued on Russia's trade with the following countries: Brazil, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Paraguay,Peru, and Uruguay (9 reports in total).

A brief review of Russia's trade with South American countries in the 1st quarter of 2019

The share of South American countries in Russia's total trade (exports and imports) declined from 1.60% in the 1st quarter of 2018 to 1.40% in the 1st quarter of 2019.

The share of South American countries in Russia's total exports declined from 0.90% in the 1st quarter of 2018 to 0.73% in the 1st quarter of 2019.

The share of South American countries in Russia's total imports declined from 2.92% in the 1st quarter of 2018 to 2.72% in the 1st quarter of 2019.

The major trading partners of Russia in South America in the 1st quarter of 2019:

- The top five Russia's trade partners in South America in the 1st quarter of 2019 were Brazil (0.5698% of Russia's total foreign trade), Ecuador (0.2938%), Argentina (0.1418%), Chile (0.1340%), and Paraguay (0.1000%);
- The top five Russia's export markets in South America in the 1st quarter of 2019 were Brazil (0.4160% of Russia's total exports), Ecuador (0.1116%), Argentina (0.0506%), Peru (0.0388%), and Colombia (0.0242%);
- The top five Russia's import suppliers from South America in the 1st quarter of 2019 were Brazil (0.8724% of Russia's total imports), Ecuador (0.6525%), Chile (0.3652%), Argentina (0.3213%), and Paraguay (0.2946%).
