Reports on Russian trade in goods with Asian countries in Q1 2019

Russia's trade with Asian countries has demonstrated the positive dynamics in the 1st quarter of 2019. Asia is viewed by Russia as very promising partner.
 
MOSCOW, Russian Federation - June 1, 2019 - PRLog -- Russian Foreign Trade has released the reports on Russia's foreign trade in goods with the countries of Asia in the first quarter of 2019.

The reports have been prepared by Russian Foreign Trade stuff based on the data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

In particular, the reports have been issued on Russia's trade with the following countries: China, Japan, Turkey, South Korea, Kazakhstan, India, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Israel, Singapore, Malaysia, Iran, Armenia, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Hong Kong, Tajikistan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria, the Philippines, Jordan, Myanmar (Burma), Yemen, Abkhazia, Afghanistan, Cambodia, North Korea, Qatar, South Ossetia, and Pakistan (42 reports in total).

A brief review of Russia's trade with Asian countries in the 1st quarter of 2019

The share of Asian countries in Russia's total trade (exports and imports) rose from 37.54% in the 1st quarter of 2018 to 38.57% in the 1st quarter of 2019.

The share of Asian countries in Russia's total exports rose from 35.38% in the 1st quarter of 2018 to 35.51% in the 1st quarter of 2019.

The share of Asian countries in Russia's total imports rose from 41.60% in the 1st quarter of 2018 to 44.59% in the 1st quarter of 2019.

The major trading partners of Russia in Asia in the 1st quarter of 2019:
- The top ten Russia's trade partners in Asia in the 1st quarter of 2019 were China (15.8474% of Russia's total foreign trade), South Korea (3.9562%), Turkey (3.8700%), Japan (2.9577%), Kazakhstan (2.5765%), India (1.3973%), Taiwan (0.7567%), Uzbekistan (0.6559%), Vietnam (0.6547%), and Singapore (0.5613%);
- The top ten Russia's export markets in Asia in the 1st quarter of 2019 were China (12.3904% of Russia's total exports), Turkey (4.8164%), South Korea (4.1074%), Kazakhstan (2.6793%), Japan (2.5226%), India (1.3192%), Taiwan (0.7619%), Uzbekistan (0.7524%), Singapore (0.7455%), and Israel (0.4326%);
- The top ten Russia's import suppliers from Asia in the 1st quarter of 2019 were China (22.6503% of Russia's total imports), Japan (3.8139%), South Korea (3.6587%), Kazakhstan (2.3744%), Turkey (2.0076%), Vietnam (1.6581%), India (1.5509%), Indonesia (0.7557%), Taiwan (0.7465%), and Thailand (0.7457%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Asia in the 1st quarter of 2019 over the 1st quarter of 2018:
- The share of Turkey in Russia's total exports declined from 6.0205% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 4.8164% in the 1st quarter of the 2019;
- The share of South Korea in Russia's total exports rose from 2.6500% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 4.1074% in the 1st quarter of the 2019;
- The share of Vietnam in Russia's total exports declined 2.2-fold from 0.3156% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 0.1448% in the 1st quarter of the 2019;
- The share of Pakistan in Russia's total exports declined 3.7-fold from 0.2050% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 0.0561% in the 1st quarter of the 2019;
- The share of Saudi Arabia in Russia's total exports rose 2.4-fold from 0.1424% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 0.3469% in the 1st quarter of the 2019;
- The share of South Korea in Russia's total imports rose from 2.6953% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 3.6587% in the 1st quarter of the 2019.
