Passing Through The Storms Of COVID -Unified In Telling A Story

LANSING, Mich. - Feb. 12, 2021 - PRLog -- CDI had 'Best Years Gone' ready to shoot in March of 2020 when the Covid storm moved across the world shutting things down. After three delays they got down to the last shoot window of 2020. Covid had taken a slight pause but political unrest filled the gap. CDI prides itself as a company that brings together artists from all walks of life putting the story above everything else. CDI's mission statement admits we are all flawed, artistic, human beings. The stories at CDI allow artists to rise above individual shortcomings, collectively, creating something beautiful.

DJ Perry's views are shaped by his past experience in the martial arts, playing/coaching sports teams in the USA and overseas, and working as a camp counselor. In those arenas all political, racial, religious, gender and sexuality are represented, much like in our CDI tribe. Working together helps people to realize their shared attributes and helps us to embrace the differences between us. We already love differences in music, clothes and food and as artists working shoulder to shoulder – real progress is made as friends and collaborators.

In a world that communicates with spewing anger to deaf ears, we feel that art is one of the few ways to still effectively communicate. People get angry because our process is helping to heal with a story versus yelling into the wind. Anyone who would accuse this tribe of artists of anything different, CDI requests a trial by art. CDI has been recognized and rewarded for their storytelling 'voice' showcasing the challenges of the African American, Native American, women, wounded veterans, bullying, adoption dogs, alcoholism and disabilities.

Working together breaks down barriers and changes people's perspective on things. And so, at CDI they'll continue to bring people together and tell inspirational stories.
