Community Relations Director Announcement

SHAWNEE, Kan. - Aug. 18, 2021 - PRLog -- Kansas Palliative & Hospice Care, a community-based organization, is proud to announce the promotion of Crystal Shovlowsky to Community Relations Director. Shovlowsky has worked in hospice since 2015. She began working with Kansas Palliative & Hospice Care as a Community Relations Manager in June 2021 and she will now lead our dedicated community relations team.

"I am excited to have Crystal in this position. Her leadership is going to have a great impact on the growth of our Community Relations Representatives team and for our company," said Beth Aguirre, LSCSW, LCSW, Executive Director, Director of Counseling Services.

The Community Relations Director (CRD) works with Community Relationships Representatives to identify and develop a network of potential referral sources. Shovlowsky establishes and maintains relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living communities while educating them on palliative and hospice care. Shovlowsky's role includes maintaining standards for providing quality information to the patient Interdisciplinary Care Teams (IDT). Her previous roles are Hospice Account Manager, Regional Liaison and Community Liaison. She possesses a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management.
