'Best Years Gone' WINS London's Maverick Movie Awards 'Best Picture' and More

LANSING, Mich. - Jan. 31, 2022 - PRLog -- Based out of London, England and in its 19th year, The Maverick Movie Awards exists to honor the art and craftsmanship of groundbreaking cinema. Collective Development Inc.'s dramedy 'Best Years Gone' was adapted from Michigan author Karl Manke's book 'Hope From Heaven' by DJ Perry, receiving a nomination for 'Best Screenplay'. This ultimately led to the film winning "Best Picture" and DJ Perry himself won "Best Actor," for his portrayal of 'Gil Gilles,' the former race car driver trying to get his life together. Travis Hayward also won for "Best Cinematography" bringing a very kinetic look to the film.

This film is chalked full of amazing performances with Melissa Anschutz and Randy Spence both recognized with "Best Supporting Actress" and "Best Supporting Actor" nominations.

The film is being released by Deskpop Entertainment and will release on DVD and digital purchase on 6/7/2022 and digital rental/broadcast on 9/1/2022. The film has played several theatrical chains and will continue to run in select theaters on the run up to the home video release.
