Meet the UK's Most Dog Friendly Holiday Parks

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - July 20, 2023 - PRLog -- Lovat Holiday Parks is the UK's most dog friendly across its five parks in Cornwall, and the New Forest.  It is also the first holiday park company in Europe to have obtained B-Corp certification for sustainability.

50% of the holiday units – which includes luxury holiday homes, lodges, shepherds' huts, and fully furnished safari tents – are dog friendly, and four legged guests are greeted with a goodie bag on arrival! It contains treats, a ball, and some poop bags (you can never have too many, ask any dog owner!).

On the parks themselves, there are doggie 'stations' dotted around, with more treats, and dog showers for cleaning up mucky pups; some parks also have dog exercise and agility areas.

Sun Haven Holiday Park, Mawgan Porth, north Cornwall:  Just a 20-minute walk down a shaded, car-free pretty path to the wide-open spaces of Mawgan Porth Beach – which is also dog friendly – and the pubs, shops, and restaurants.  Accommodation includes holiday homes, lodges, and shepherds' huts.

Penmarlam Lodge Retreat near Fowey, Cornwall:  A quiet park with just thirty units, and a 10-minute walk to The Old Ferry Inn and the ferry across the estuary to Fowey, a lively coastal village with a wide choice of pubs, shops, and restaurants.  Accommodation is in lodges – some with hot tubs.

Padstow Holiday Village, north Cornwall:  With direct access to Padstow through farm fields, this is the perfect park to explore 'Padstein', famous for its wide choice of restaurants (and they're not all Stein's, check out the Prawn on the Lawn!), many specialising in local produce.  Accommodation is in holiday homes or lodges.

Parbola Holiday Park, Hayle, west Cornwall:  A popular park set in woodland that has a heated outdoor swimming pool in the peak summer months.  The park is near Gwithian Beach, and a short drive from some of the country's best known hotspots including St. Ives Farmers' Market, the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Halligan, and Tintagel Castle.  Accommodation is available in holiday homes and safari tents.
