InLeadership Edition 2 Highlights:

Food Security Project - Impactful Distribution:
In the recent Jumada Awwal Food Drive, ILIA's youth led the distribution of 1400+ pounds of essential items to 48 families in need. Urgent requests were met with dedication, as ILIA's volunteers delivered directly to homes.

Expanding Safe Spaces:
ILIA, a pioneer in creating safe spaces for youth, is transforming over 2500 sq ft at our Baltimore location. This initiative expands safe spaces, including a larger prayer area, gaming room, youth lounge, kitchen, and STEM room.

Muslim Identity Discussion - River Hill High School:
Collaborating with River Hill High School's Muslim Student Association, engaging discussions took place with over 20 enthusiastic youths. Campfires and s'mores added a delightful touch, fostering unity and understanding.

Accounting and Data Analytics Internship - Al Huda School Participants:
High schoolers from Al Huda School joined ILIA's Data Analytics Internship in November. Specializing in financial data extraction, business information analysis, and data analytics/reporting, these motivated individuals showcase the potential for growth and learning within our community.

EmpoweReer Growing in Howard County - A Career Empowerment Program:
Six dynamic individuals recently joined EmpoweReer HoCo, representing significant growth in our community. These enthusiastic sisters from the Muslim community are set to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery, skill development, and leadership empowerment.

Discover Islam -  A New Partnership with Johns Hopkins University Students:
Our newly launched Discover Islam program kicked off in December, addressing common questions young college adults bring up on campus, from the purpose of creation and life to worship and what happens next.

Empowering Seniors and Elders - An Extension to Our Youth Dorm Services:
Witnessing an increase in homeless elders, ILIA extends support through a warm, caring space that treats them with dignity. Weekly meetings with professional counselors assist these individuals in achieving goals for a forward-moving life.
