Share Our Shoes and the World Streetball Championship Announce Partnership to Raise One Million Pairs of Shoes and Socks

Sept. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Share Our Shoes (SOS) and the World Streetball Championship (WSBC) are announcing a partnership to raise one million pairs of shoes and socks for children of financially suffering families who want to play basketball, and for those without shoes in Haiti.

"We have already gathered hundreds of shoes just among ourselves - before the start of our tour across the United States." says Ben Stephens WSBC Founder and President.  "Our goal is to raise one million pairs of shoes and socks at our five WSBC Supremacy events, and we're excited to partner with Share Our Shoes, who have done so much already for the earthquake victims in Haiti as well as those in need around the world."

A portion of the proceeds from WSBC Supremacy ticket sales will benefit Share Our Shoes' mission to provide shoes for those in need around the world. SOS Drop Boxes will be at each event and fans attending are encouraged to bring new socks and new or gently-used shoes to donate to help the WSBC reach it's goal of raising one million pairs of shoes and socks for SOS.  In addition, local organizations such as churches, businesses, schools, etc - as well as individuals - are being encouraged to organize their own shoe drives to collect donations to help the WSBC reach it's goal.

WSBC will debut its full-court 1on1 league on September 25, 2010 Live on the beautiful campus of Shepherd University located in Shepherdstown WV, which is 45 minutes outside of Washington DC. Match-ups include the following:

White Chocolate vs Exile
