Share Our Shoes Monthly Distribution Event For Local Individuals And Families Is This Saturday.

Sept. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Hundreds of local individuals and families will line up THIS SATURDAY at Share Our Shoes (SOS) for a simple luxury...SHOES!  The organization will be providing shoes to clients of organizations in its referral network: South Wilmington Street Shelter, The Healing Place, Cornerstone Raleigh, Raleigh Rescue Mission, Durham Rescue Mission, Triangle Red Cross, Helen Wright Center for Women, Manpower-Raleigh and Touching Lives Center Inc.

"We love being able to serve our local community with the gift of shoes." says Jennifer Pierce, founding director of Share Our Shoes.  "So many families are struggling to provide for their children, and SOS is hoping to lessen that burden by providing them with shoes."  "In addition," Jennifer continues, "many people can't start a new job without work boots or other specialized footwear, and SOS is excited to help get them started on the right foot."

Share Our Shoes is a Raleigh, North Carolina based registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2009 to provide shoes for those in desperate need. Donations of all shoe types and sizes are accepted year round at area drop box locations and at Share Our Shoe’s Raleigh office located at 1107 Capital Boulevard.
