Share Our Shoes and the World Streetball Championship in Cary, NC.

Sept. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Share Our Shoes (SOS) and the World Streetball Championship (WSBC) have partnered to bring WSBC SUPREMACY, a one-on-one basketball tournament, to Cary Academy on September 25th 2010.  The event is also the kick-off to WSBC's goal of raising one million pairs of shoes and socks for SOS, to benefit the children of financially suffering families who want to play basketball, and to help finish our goal of one million pairs of shoes to Haiti.  

Ben Stephens, WSBC Founder and President, says "Our goal is to raise one million pairs of shoes and socks at our five WSBC Supremacy events, and we're excited to partner with Share Our Shoes, who have done so much already for the earthquake victims in Haiti as well as those in need around the world."

A portion of the proceeds from WSBC Supremacy ticket sales will benefit Share Our Shoes' mission to provide shoes for those in need around the world. SOS Drop Boxes will be at each event and fans attending are encouraged to bring as many new socks  and gently-used or new shoes to donate.  In addition, individuals and local organizations (churches, businesses, schools, etc) are being encouraged to organize their own shoe drives to collect donations to help the WSBC and SOS reach their goal.

Who: WSBC Supremacy, SOS, Cary Academy
What: A "Best Of The West vs Best Of The East" battle that will feature White Chocolate, Baby Shaq, Future, Pat The Roc and Alimoe.  Players seen on MTV, BET and ESPN.  Some with over seven million hits to their Youtube videos!

Details: Tickets are $20 at the door.  Anyone that donates 2 pairs of gently worn or new sneakers at the event will get $5 off admission.  Anyone donating 3 or more pairs of shoes will get 1/2 off admission, a Sonic gift-card valued at $20 and will be entered into a drawing for a $100 cash prize.
