LeVelle Moton Teams Up With Share Our Shoes

Oct. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- LeVelle Moton has officially been named Spokesperson of Share Our Shoes.  The Raleigh native teamed up with the organization in efforts to help them achieve their goal of one million pairs of shoes for the Haiti Earthquake victims.    

Moton's personal connection to Haiti led him to Jennifer Pierce, founder of Share Our Shoes, as his father, whom he has not heard from since the earthquake, is from Haiti.  Moton stated, "The disaster in Haiti impacted my life directly and indirectly, and anything I can do to assist, I'm willing."  Moton is dedicating this partnership to his father.

As the official spokesperson, Moton will be an active part of assisting with local shoe drives, as well as selected speaking engagements and PSA's for Share Our Shoes.  Collections will be held at North Carolina Central University's Men's Basketball home games, which Moton currently serves as the head coach.

"It's a personal responsibility as well as a moral obligation to partner with an outstanding organization," said Moton.  Pierce also shared that Share Our Shoes is proud to partner with Moton, as they both set out to accomplish their goal.
