LOS ANGELES - Oct. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- (LOS ANGELES, CA) – Covenant House California (http://www.covenanthousecalifornia.org) (“CHC”), the largest agency in the state to supply food, shelter, immediate crisis care and other services to homeless youth has named Amanda Sattler to the position of Chief Development and Communications Officer, as was announced today by Bill Bedrossian, CHC’s President and CEO.

Sattler has more than fourteen years’ experience working for non-profits.  She began her career at Junior Achievement (“JA”) of Southern California where she developed a passion for programs which assist young people.   Among the many responsibilities during her tenure with JA, Sattler did program and volunteer management, was a field trainer for the international office, and spent the last ten years fundraising throughout Southern California.  She spent the last five years as the Chief Development Officer at JA, where she demonstrated a strong track record in major gift acquisition, corporate support, board development and department management.  Sattler is a Southern California native who obtained both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Southern California.

“I am excited to take on the challenge to lead the Covenant House California Development Team. I believe that supporting and advocating on behalf of these young people is my noble purpose in life,” says Sattler. “But until all young people have a safe and loving place to call home, we have a lot of work to do.”

In making the announcement Bedrossian said, “We are thrilled to have Amanda on board as part of CHC’s family.   I know that her talents and dedication will take CHC to the next level in fundraising and in creating awareness of our life-changing mission and services.”
