Reports on Russian trade in goods with Asian countries in Q2 2018

Russia's trade with Asian countries has demonstrated the positive dynamics in the 2nd quarter of 2018. Asia is viewed by Russia as very promising partner.
 
MOSCOW, Russian Federation - Sept. 18, 2018 - PRLog -- Russian Foreign Trade has released the reports on Russia's foreign trade in goods with the countries of Asia in the second quarter of 2018.

The reports have been prepared by Russian Foreign Trade stuff based on the data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

In particular, the reports have been issued on Russia's trade with the following countries: China, Japan, Turkey, South Korea, Kazakhstan, India, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Israel, Singapore, Malaysia, Iran, Armenia, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Hong Kong, Tajikistan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria, the Philippines, Jordan, Myanmar (Burma), Yemen, Abkhazia, Afghanistan, Cambodia, North Korea, Qatar, South Ossetia, and Pakistan (42 reports in total).

A brief review of Russia's trade with Asian countries in the 2nd quarter of 2018

The share of Asian countries in Russia's total trade (exports and imports) rose from 38.12% in the 2nd quarter of 2017 to 38.69% in the 2nd quarter of 2018.

The share of Asian countries in Russia's total exports rose from 37.22% in the 2nd quarter of 2017 to 37.93% in the 2nd quarter of 2018.

The share of Asian countries in Russia's total imports rose from 39.47% in the 2nd quarter of 2017 to 40.07% in the 2nd quarter of 2018.

The major trading partners of Russia in Asia in the 2nd quarter of 2018:
- The top ten Russia's trade partners in Asia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 were China (15.1126% of Russia's total foreign trade), South Korea (3.7266%), Turkey (3.6733%), Japan (3.2755%), Kazakhstan (2.7180%), India (1.8500%), Taiwan (1.0399%), Vietnam (0.7592%), Uzbekistan (0.6290%), and Singapore (0.5472%);
- The top ten Russia's export markets in Asia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 were China (12.4058% of Russia's total exports), Turkey (4.7863%), South Korea (4.1725%), Japan (3.0149%), Kazakhstan (2.9003%), India (2.1458%), Taiwan (1.1212%), Uzbekistan (0.7171%), Singapore (0.6810%), and Israel (0.5250%);
- The top ten Russia's import suppliers from Asia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 were China (20.0263% of Russia's total imports), Japan (3.7486%), South Korea (2.9172%), Kazakhstan (2.3871%), Turkey (1.6528%), Vietnam (1.3789%), India (1.3132%), Taiwan (0.8924%), Thailand (0.7313%), and Indonesia (0.6440%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Asia in the 2nd quarter of 2018 over the 2nd quarter of 2017:
- The share of Kazakhstan in Russia's total exports declined from 3.5454% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 2.9003% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of India in Russia's total exports rose from 1.7019% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 2.1458% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Azerbaijan in Russia's total exports declined 2.2-fold from 0.8568% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 0.3844% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Kuwait in Russia's total exports declined 3.9-fold from 0.1877% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 0.0476% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Lebanon in Russia's total exports declined 2.4-fold from 0.1844% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 0.0782% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Iraq in Russia's total exports rose 3.7-fold from 0.1422% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 0.5222% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Myanmar (Burma) in Russia's total exports declined 14.7-fold from 0.1261% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 0.0086% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Turkmenistan in Russia's total exports declined 2.5-fold from 0.0966% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 0.0383% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of the Philippines in Russia's total exports rose 5.0-fold from 0.0361% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 0.1794% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of North Korea in Russia's total exports declined 6.8-fold from 0.0332% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 0.0049% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of South Korea in Russia's total imports declined from 3.9397% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 2.9172% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Hong Kong in Russia's total imports rose 2.4-fold from 0.0966% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 0.2297% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of North Korea in Russia's total imports declined 5.2-fold from 0.0026% in the 2nd quarter of the 2017 to 0.0005% in the 2nd quarter of the 2018.
