MOSCOW, Russian Federation - Feb. 16, 2020 - PRLog -- Russian Foreign Trade has released the reports on Russia's foreign trade in goods with the countries of North America in 2019.

A brief review of Russia's trade with North American countries in 2019

The share of North American countries in Russia's total trade (exports and imports) rose from 4.54% in 2018 to 4.82% in 2019.

The share of North American countries in Russia's total exports rose from 3.68% in 2018 to 3.87% in 2019.

The share of North American countries in Russia's total imports rose from 6.17% in 2018 to 6.47% in 2019.

The major trading partners of Russia in North America in 2019:

- The top five Russia's trade partners in North America in 2019 were the US (3.9362% of Russia's total foreign trade), Mexico (0.3879%), Canada (0.2631%), Puerto Rico (0.0583%), and Cuba (0.0303%);
- The top five Russia's export markets in North America in 2019 were the US (3.0865% of Russia's total exports), Mexico (0.3496%), Canada (0.1933%), Cuba (0.0442%), and Puerto Rico (0.0332%);
- The top five Russia's import suppliers from North America in 2019 were the US (5.4097% of Russia's total imports), Mexico (0.4544%), Canada (0.3842%), Puerto Rico (0.1019%), and Costa Rica (0.0406%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of North America in 2019 over 2018:

- The share of Trinidad and Tobago in Russia's total exports declined 12.3-fold from 0.1241% in 2018 to 0.0101% in 2019;
- The share of Puerto Rico in Russia's total exports rose 5.3-fold from 0.0063% in 2018 to 0.0332% in 2019.
